In close collaboration with Boda Smide in Virserum, we at Bergdala manufacture the glass details you can see on Boda’s forged products.<\/p>\n

During the heyday of the Sm\u00e5land glassworks in the 1950s and 1960s, Boda Smide was founded, building on old forging and glass traditions in Sm\u00e5land.
Many artists and designers have meant a lot to the company’s products over the years, with Erik H\u00f6glund, together with Bertil Vallien, perhaps the most well-known names. Other recognized designers linked to Boda Smide are Rolf Sinnemark, Kjell Engman and Bj\u00f6rn Nyberg. <\/p>\n

In Bergdala’s shop you can see a fantastic candlestick designed by Erik H\u00f6glund – and if you want to know more about and see more of Boda Smide’s beautiful products, you can find them on Boda Smide’s website – bodasmide.se<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The company was founded in 1993 by Gunnel Svensson. After growing up in Lammhult and with the family business Svensson’s furniture, Gunnel studied art at Atlantic College in Wales and industrial design for Bruno Munari at the Scuola Politecnica di Design di Milano. The training paid off and at the age of 20 Gunnel became responsible for exhibition and product design in Bad Salzufeln, Germany. She was responsible for hundreds of exhibitions around Germany while designing furniture and planning exhibition stands for the major furniture fairs.
