Forging and glassmaking traditions

In close collaboration with Boda Smide in Virserum, we at Bergdala manufacture the glass details you can see on Boda’s forged products.

During the heyday of the Småland glassworks in the 1950s and 1960s, Boda Smide was founded, building on old forging and glass traditions in Småland.
Many artists and designers have meant a lot to the company’s products over the years, with Erik Höglund, together with Bertil Vallien, perhaps the most well-known names. Other recognized designers linked to Boda Smide are Rolf Sinnemark, Kjell Engman and Björn Nyberg.

Cooperation with bsweden

Bsweden’s combination of high-quality craftsmanship and design produces trend-setting lamps that become modern classics. The company was founded in 1993 by Gunnel Svensson. After growing up in Lammhult and with the family business Svensson’s furniture, Gunnel studied art at Atlantic College in Wales and industrial design for Bruno Munari at the Scuola Politecnica di Design di Milano. The training paid off and at the age of 20 Gunnel became responsible for exhibition and product design in Bad Salzufeln, Germany. She was responsible for hundreds of exhibitions around Germany while designing furniture and planning exhibition stands for the major furniture fairs. Over the years, Bsweden’s lamps have traveled from the factory in the forests of Småland all over the world, winning many prestigious awards along the way. bsweden.se
